The Baptist Pastor
Most every morning I run to WST (WahSueTah), just 2.5 km away. While at the fork in the road going to WST, I pause and pray for that village and its people.This particular day I had a burden for the Baptist pastor. Who was he? I had never met him. How could I meet him? I did not know anything about him. All I knew was that there is a baptist church there and some of the WST people attend.On this particular day, I prayed that God would put me in contact with the Baptist pastor and that he would be convicted of the truth, be converted and preach the 7th day to the people of WST. It seemed like a big prayer, but God says:"Ask and ye shall receive,that your joy may be full!" John 16:24. That would really make my joy full, for sure.Two days later, on Monday evening, we went for our usual Bible study at DuPe's house. As we started, in came a man who I found out afterwards was the Baptist pastor!!! Oh yes, I had seen him before, he had helped clear and level the land for our building several months ago, and even just 2 days ago, had come in our house for medical treatment!! Oh Lord, how marvelous are Your ways! You have answered the first part of my prayer right away!Three days later his 4 year old daughter was carried to our house. It was late evening and we were told she fell that morning, injuring her stomach. As I examined her I heard grunting respiration, her color was pale, and she was tender over her spleen and stomach. We right away made the decision to take her in to MeDooGlow for further examination. She needed an ultrasound and observation for sure.As we prepared our things to go, we discovered that she is the Baptist pastor's daughter from WST! Another contact that would bind our hearts together! We were able to be with the girl and her Mother all the way to MeDooGlow! This girl did have to stay in the hospital for a while.Oh please pray the bigger prayer with me for this pastor, because if he joins the truth of our message, many people in WST would be converted.I always pray that God will open my eyes to see the big things that He wants to do in my area. I am naturally so short sighted, but God is trying to open my eyes. Let's pray for big things because time is so short!!
